Zeth'rinn Baenre

Description

A young drow male, hair half-shaved, the rest tied in a knot, with ruby red eyes and a confident smirk. He's adorned with a clattering collection of jewellery, mostly earring and necklaces - a decent amount of which is 'borrowed' from his father's collection.

Zeth'rinn dresses finely, and loves being shirtless because he thinks he's hot. He is. He has top surgery scars shaped like spiderwebs under his pectorals, and a trained, lithe figure.

About

Zeth'rinn started life as a D&D NPC because I thought it would be funny to give Jarlaxle a wayward child for the PCs to have to rescue. He has since developed into a beloved mess of an OC who spends most of his time chasing red flags and getting into threesomes.

He puts up a confident front that doesn't have quite enough foundation to hold up to scrutiny. He likes to taunt and tease and act the brat, and to pretend nothing phases him then go cry about it for three hours. He tends to leap before he looks and run his mouth incessantly - fortunately for him he's more fun to play with than to kill. Basically he's lucky he's cute. Like yes he's an annoying little man but also he looks very pretty when he's on his knees. If you take my meaning.

Backstory

Zeth's backstory is somewhat in flux because I can never wholly make up my mind, but the general gist is that he was 'gifted' to Jarlaxle as 'payment' for services rendered to some strange eldritch being. Jarlaxle brought him back to Bregan D'aerthe, where he was raised as a slightly feral little girl until he wanted to be a slightly less feral little boy.

When he was a bit older, he paid a Lolthite priestess to perform a ritual to transition, resulting in his spidery top scars and sexy tdick situation. Jarlaxle was not best pleased by his methods but so far the only consequences have been him getting hotter and hornier.

Relationships

Bregan D'aerthe

Having grown up with the mercenary band, he's very much their collective son - and collective pain in the ass. Kimmuriel freaks him out (and knows this, and acts deliberately weirder around him on Purpose). He absolutely adores Valas Hune, and trained a lot with him - and has had a crush on him since he was like 9 years old. Valas knows about this, and has tried to actively discourage it because he sees Zeth as more of a little brother or cousin. Zeth did make a move at one point, when he was a bit tipsy, and Valas had to overtly shut him down, which did not feel great. He's still hurting about it.

The Nydallas

I have been obsessed with my friend Fox's T4T Menzo Power Couple since they came into existence - and so has Zeth'rinn. He heard about them through the rumour mill, broke into their compound to see what the fuss was about, and has been trying to make himself their pet ever since.

Zeth'rinn both admires and is attracted to both of them. They have power and prestige and are openly trans; they take the violence and disdain aimed at them and turn it into knives, and they're a perfect fit for one another. He wants to be a part of that jigsaw, and has convinced himself that their coolness and disdain towards him is actually a sign of their deep interest. So far he's committed several crimes for them - including murder - and will do more, so long as they keep bestowing 'affection' on him.

The trajectory of this relationship is, of course, disaster. Jarlaxle, not a fan of two extremely Menzoberranyr Lolthites manipulating his son, sends Zeth to the surface to get him away from them. Zeth'rinn, in an attempt to avoid 'exile' begs them to take him in - a plea which is mildly amusing and outright rejected by the Nydallas. The subesequent breakup sends him into a bit of a tailspin, and even years later he's uh. Not really over them. There's a reason Gethsemane is on their playlist.

Baldur's Gate Girlfriends

During his 'exile', Zeth'rinn slipped his Bregan D'aerthe babysitters and went on a bender down the Sword Coast, a chunk of which he spent in Baldur's Gate. There he met Rhimisa and Toby, an aasimar/dhampir couple, who he first tried to sleep with, had a bit of a breakdown mid-attempt, and then ended up getting forcibly be-girlfriended by them.

They're both hot girls and also both horrified at his ideas of BDSM, kink, and general sense of worth in relationships. I'm still playing brainstorm time with them, but they're a big part of the reason he was able to recover from being the Nydalla's plaything.

Present Day

In Current Era, he's living his best life being the perpetual third in various relationships. Aside from his girlfriends, he's involved with Fel'rekt and Krebbyg from Bregan D'aerthe in a very sweet FWB situation. He also briefly had a romance with a Darksong Knight from Mythen Thaelas named Menzova. They broke up because of the long-distance not really working, but it was pretty cute while it lasted.
